Camping!

We had a great time camping this weekend in the pines.
Kendall is setting up our king sized air mattress in the comfort of the trailer with carpet on the floor.

This is our beautiful camp site in the National Forest of Prescott

The gazebo was a nice shady place for me to read in the afternoon while Kendall took a ride on his quad.

Kendall splitting logs for the fires we had in the morning and evenings

Deb enjoying the fire. The moon was very bright and the stars were brilliant.

Saturday

Kendall and I left the house at 4:30 am to check out the coolness of the pines. We found some good spots for weekends away from the heat of the desert.

We were home about noon and after some rest time, headed to Mimi's for dinner with our guests and then to South Mountain.

Watching the city lights begin to appear.

Mom on the phone with Luke. "Guess where I am?"

Vacationers

The vacationers appear to be enjoying themselves. This morning they took off very early to see Sedona at sunrise.

Late Birthday Wishes for Dad

Mom, Dad, Uncle Harold, Aunt Eva Jean and Aunt Anna arrived last evening after spending 3 days on the road driving from Maryland. Dad's birthday was on Saturday so we had birthday brownies last night for dessert.

Easter Brunch

For Easter Brunch we headed to one of the resorts in town.
Waiting to get the okay from the chef that the brunch was ready.

A beautiful setting.
Doug & Jenell.

Happy Easter!

This morning we arose early and with our friends Doug and Jenell, went to our sunrise service in the park at 6:00 am. I didn't have my camera, but we gathered in a ramada such as this one. It was beautiful to see the sun rising as we sang of the Son Rising!

Bare Branches

This is a fairly common site around the neighborhood as dead branches have been trimmed back for new growth to start. We had some extremely cold nights this winter and it was below 32 degrees long enough to do damage. We lost 14 Ficus trees in the backyard that will need to be replaced.
